Jib sheets are rather long, how do you neaten the lines while underway?
Need to be able to easily trim the sail
My previous boat had a combing box.
a) sheet bags?
b) line organizer on rail?
c) or just coil in the cockpit
Thanks

a) a waste of time & $, get in the way

b) if you can't figure out how to do a cow hitch on line around a pulpit, then these are for you...

c) yes, simple, useful and ready at a moment's notice, and fake or flake, not coil

In another thread, Stu suggested hanging the jib sheets from the main sail traveler.

While underway just coil the lazy sheet around the winch - no real science required here. However be cautious when tacking the starboard sheet likes to hang up on the forward head hatch - if it does it'll pop the handle.

Also another nuance of the boat is that when the genny is fully extended the reef line likes to get caught under the pulpit or worse double up in the furler.

The best cure is once the genny is fully out take up the slack in the reef line and put the stopper on. The problems with the reef line only happen in high winds or big waves when you definitely don't want to go forward to fix.
