There has to be a way to run the active jib sheet to the windward/high side of the boat. It seems counter productive to have to go to the lee side to trim. How do you deal with the problem?
260 not the 26 but should be pretty close. Sheets are long enough to handle from the windward side. I usually run active sheet half way around the winch so it pulls straight. Use a wip like motion to pop it over the winch to tighten and off the winch to let it out, then back over to tighten. Can't do this if its under serious load though.
How do you see your genoa telltales from the windward side of the boat? Usually they are hidden behind the main. I sit on the leeward side (admittedly I've got more ballast) at least as much as I do on the windward side just so I can see those telltales. From there trimming the genoa sheet is a piece of cake. The downside is you can't see where you're going as well so you've got to get up to look around occasionally. Another perspective.Gary WyngardenS/V Wanderlust H37.5
After going around the leeward winch ,run the sheet over to the windward winch and operate the jib from the high side. You need to work a little harder before a tack to clear both winches.

Several of us with 23.5 up to 260 have replaced the jib horn cleats with Spinlock PX Powercleats. You can't use the winch for the jib sheets then, but there are 26 and 260 owners here who have made the change and say they are OK without the winches. I'm certainly OK with my 23.5.With a flick of the wrist you can set or release the Powercleats from anywhere in the cockpit.Search last year's archive for PX Powercleats. There were many discussions about installation etc....RickM...
I just got a couple of Powecleat in today. If I line them up with the jib clue the crew will be pulling at almost a right angle to them if they are up on the high side. I'm thinking about mounting them on a 45 degree angle. Any thoughts?
They make some with swivel bases, not sure if it will work in this situation or not but worth looking into. I Put a powercleat on the mainsheet, huge improvement. Haven't done the jibsheets yet, but its coming.
I used power cleats angled at 45 degrees offset from the winches. Works great on the high side and you can also cross winch as well specially in a race!.
