Hi Steve and all. Just replaced mine. I was about to buy 2x9m which I
saw somewhere on this forum. Fortunately I measured the old sheets
first - they were 10.5 m so bought a single length of (as Steve said)
10mm pre-stretched polyester.
I attached middle of sheet to jib clew with cow hitch/lark's head knot.
Seems fine.

I use VPC 8mm on my 135 for days when we have some wind and 7mm Bzzz on the 142 for those basically windless days. The Bzzz is pretty nice, it's a light weight, flexible, solid braid and has never hockled like the VPC does occasionally. There is also an 8mm Bzzz (2700lb rating vs a 1700lb for the 7mm). The sheet length of 64-66' works well with a cow hitch.

I also switched out my mainsheet with 10mm Salsa on a Harken hexarachet fiddle with cleat lower and ball bearing fiddle upper. I've got much less hand feeding out line on light air tacks now. I think I used about 56', but don't have much extra.

I got most of the line for about .50/ft on ebay from Milwaulkee rigging. -Tim
