Well here's a simple one. I need to know what type of jib sheet I need to control the jib. Size length and type. My last boat hade a "regular"rope look and feel.

Yacht braid, not 3 strand twisted. Look in the H26 manual, which is on this site, and it likely has the size and length of each sheet. Or, this site's store tab has pretty good prices and should have a "calculator" where you just identify your model and it is programmed to know what size and length.

The old really basic rule of thumb is 1.5x boat length, one down each side. For that boat I like 3/8 inch Samson XLS. If you leave your jib on the furler and your sheets on, some people prefer a single length tied in the middle at the clew.

I prefer about 1.35x boat length on most boats, but every boat is different.

Here's a link to our Rigging Calculator, and the Rigging Builder which let's you specify your own lengths:

I think we put a 1/2" of yacht braid 50' long. Leaves you enough to grab with the jib furled. If I was buying again, I'd probably go with the 3/8". But 1/2" is a lot easier on the hands. More to grab. OBTW, we also use a single sheet and put a loop through the clew and run both ends through.
