The jib sheet block? on the stern before the winch has a bad pulley wheel. What is this piece called and where can I get a replacement? Thanks again... Hunter 31 newbie.. rick rah0218@hotmail.com

Cheek block!

Rick: I think one of the terms for this block is a cheek block. There is also another term, but regardless. The original ones were Ronstan (not sure). If you contact Garhauer, I think that they will custom drill one for you. They have better prices than just about anyone around. There equip. is the OEM equipment on Catalinas.

One option

Rick: I don't know if you have a hood continuous roller furling line but if you do the only way to replace the block is to cut it off and use a Lewmar replacement. I had this problem and learned the hard way by cutting and replacing the line. The splice was easy once I saw it done.
