I have noticed that my jib halyard is partly blocking the top of the main sail track on the mast. This makes it very difficult to get full hoist on the main sail. I have a roller furller jib, so the jib halyard stays taught all of the time. Am I doing something wrong, has anybody else had this problem? I have a 1974 C27 tall rig.

I don't have roller furling take this with a grain of salt. Sound like a bad installation to me. I would have to wrap my jib halyard around my mast to block my mainsail track.

The jib hayard simply goes over the top of the mast, since the halyards are external. the kleet is on the side of the mast. So after hoisting, the haylard must wrap 90 degrees to the side. both the main and the jib halyard have the same set up. The biggest problem I am having is that I can not seem to hoist the mais up all of the way. It is a new sail.
