My Oday 30 has an old style Cruising Design Reefer that is very hard to operate. I can see that the top extrusion appears to be a bit out of line and I suspect that when the system was installed the lead link that joins the extrusions was bent. That would make the extrusion bind against the straight forestay when the furler is rotated. Replacement parts are no longer available. I am intrigued by the ads for Super Furl to replace the old Cruising Design system but Super Furl does not appear to be a popular brand. Does anyone know anything more about it than what the ads show?

Many manufactures make furling systems. Harken (on my boat) Pro-Furl, Scheafer, etc,

Thanks for your suggestion. I'm familiar with several brands that have satisfied users. Superfurl appears to have some advantages and a couple decades experience but the one-man operation doesn't have a marketing organization that would make it well known (and escalate it's cost). I might go with a CDI.
