Jib Enlargement On 26

My 1996 Hunter 26 has only a standard 100% Jib. This seems a bit small on light wind days when I see everyone breezing by me with big Genoas. Will a larger sail work on this boat, and if so what is recommended....110-120-135? Two parter......And if so, can my 100% Jib be modified by SailCare Inc. (or someone similar) to a larger sail?ThanksMark

Maybe get a drifter

Mark:that boat is usually pretty fast in light air with the small jib because the main is really big for that size boat. If the winds are less than 10 knots you might be able to go faster with a nylon drifter.I don't think it makes any sense to try to modify you sail by having it enlarged. My experience is that the water ballast Hunters are fater than most boats until the winds get to 10 or 15. What are you tell tales telling you?
