Interesting. Boat size a factor. Guess you could install on a Catalina 22. Instead of an out board. Only challenge could be the batteries. They might take up the entire salon.

It is pretty interesting. Here’s another sales pitch with mono hulls -

A quick Google search puts the price at about twice a conventional thruster ($5642 vs $2759 for a 30-40’ boat model), but it looks like the jet would be significantly cheaper to install. I could see their point that it’s possible to install the jet farther forward and get more leverage from it on modern flat hulls. But I’d be curious to hear anyone that owned or chartered one to know if it’s really as effective.

I'm trying to decide if a boat system sales person is better or worse than an RV salesperson -forget used cars (They are amateurs). Answer please?
Next time I'm in Sardinia I've give this another look.

I've been pondering this for years, but maybe using a small pump like in the boat water system. It might be enough to back you into a slip, but hey, it's just a thought at this time. Maybe use a jet outlet from a jaccuzzi ?
