Just thought I'd mention that Jessica Watson is in the US now, promoting her book. If you go to her website http://www.jessicawatson.com.au/the-latest-news you'll find a number of interviews and some blog comments that I find interesting. I hope some of you will take the time to listen and watch the interviews. They are very enlightening because she addresses many of the questions and concerns we all had regarding a 16 year old making a solo circumnavigation.
Like it or not, Jessica is becoming the face of sailing for the common people and she has risen to the task. If you watch the interviews you'll hear a very well spoken, intelligient teen who seems to possess maturity and common sense beyond her 17 years.
