Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 439 shallow draft keel - anyone seen pictures?

Hi all,
I am considering upgrading my boat to a Jeanneau SO 439. Unfortunately being in Texas I would have to keep it on a lake. The lake itself is pretty deep, but it does not have a travel lift which means the only ways to take a boat in or out is via trailer launch or a crane truck. The service shop at the marina can haul out a Catalina 320 which has a 6'3" keel, but much more than that and I might lose the ability to have the boat hauled out in an emergency. The standard keel for a SO 439 is just over 7', but apparently there is a shoal draft version which is just over 5'. But try as I may I can't find a single picture on the web of what this 439 shoal keel looks like. Anyone ever come across a picture or knows what SO model shoal keel has a similar look?

There is a Hunter 41 at the marina which has a 6'5" draft, but not sure if that thing ever comes out of the water.

Thank all,
'Dubs

Most modern SO shoal keels are kinda weird looking affairs.... a combination of curved winglets and a squished bulb.

Shoal keels are almost always heavier, to keep the CG in close to the same place. So yes - you not only lose windward performance, but the boat is slower in any given wind, and slower to accelerate.

Boat on boat you'l lose out. And there will be a difference. But will you ever 'notice'; probably not unless there is a big keel version right next to you.
