Javlin rudder

I've just purchased a 1970 Javlin,#1904. Love the Hull spape. The blue hull was a little beat up. So I resprayed with Stars and Stripes W.Blue. wet sanded with 600 and buffed. Just like new. I'm having a blast rebuilding this old girl that I call"WIND SWEPT" Why not? It's a sail boat. O well, I've got the new mast in and have started building that up. The old one was snapped in half. I'll be installing a S. Steel center board. The One thing I need so help on is locating a rudder and tiller asse. D&R

I have an ospray, which uses the same rudder as the daysailer. I called Rudy at D&R and he has all the plans to these boats and can make one, but it's expensive. I was tired of building different versions all summer and decided to buy the real thing, I couldn't get any dimensions from anyone, although I did get some pictures. Anyway, I'm happy with mine from d&r, just make sure you get the special pintle with the cotter pin lock so you don't lose it. It's heavy and it doesn't float.
