Javelin-First Sail

Got out for a test sail on the 69 Javelin today. A lot of adjustments to make and things to fix but a great sail. I forgot the jib at home but the boat sailed great under main only.

Thanks Guys. Any yes on the color, I think it's one of those colors you either love or hate. For me, I think it represents the time period it was built and I really love it, it just say's "sixties" to me. Once restored, I think it will really look nice.

Please don't change the color! That is part of it's charm. Folks love those retro looks too.

When I say restored, I'll restore it original. Just sanding, buffing, buffing and then I'll buff it a little more. Bring back the glow, not paint. I restored this old DS1 I had a few years ago, sanding/compounding... new stripes and more. That hull was so chalky when I first got it you'd never have known it was light blue, just looked whitish. I plan to do the same with the Javelin.
