Boom vang
Meg, The best thing to do is to check the make of the boom and mast. If it's made by Dwyer, then go on the Dwyer web site and check out the fittings for the boom vang. You may already have one on your boom, and need one for your mast. It really depends on what kind of boom vang kit that you buy. Some booms have a small bail which is riveted in place about 1/3 of the way from the goose neck. Some vangs have a wire with a ball at the end that fits into a special plate on the boom to receive it. The mast usually has a large bale that can be installed. You may want to talk to someone who knows the inside and out of these boats, like Rudy Nickerson. I'm sure that he could set you up with everything that you need and give you the needed advice on how to install it. I'm giving you his link. Give him a call. He and Debbie are very nice to talk to. Good luck!Joe
