I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
I am trying to get Java Jim's attention to get him to post the treatment that he applied to some wordwork on his boat, Java. I met up with Jim this past weekend and he had a formula where he epoxied his woodwork and it was beautiful. He had gotten the process from someone else and it dealt with a special kind of epoxy.

Jim, Please put the directions up here if you read this because it looked great!!!

Not sure if this is what Java Jim does but it works for me.
I clean up the wood and sand it if needed. If you wish to stain it at all do it with a water based stain and let it dry over night. Wipe it off well to remove any stain residue. Then I apply 2-3 coats of epoxy. I do it until it is smooth and the wood grain is filled in. once that is dry I apply 4 or 5 coats of spar urethane for UV protection. All you have to do for years to comes is scotchbrite it a little bit and add another coat of urethane to it.
