Had to laugh -- does everyone have a Wonky outboard test bed like me?

After hating on every version of the bucket approach, the garbage can approach, the clamshell rodeo-- I lined up on 3 , yes 3 ladders and 2x12 ... whatever works :) 2006 to the present she's purring....

2006 to the present….that’s a lot of hours to run an engine!
Nice post, most of us do something ‘wonky’ every once in a while…..
Cheers

I came across a plastic barrel on a beach that someone had used for shotgun practice. It had shot holes in it. But the walls were more study than a garbage barrel and it stood about 4' high. Half filled with water it was effective and easy to flush the 3.5 motor for my dink. When not used for flushing my motor it served well to keep scrap wood in.

When I purchased the boat in 2015 ish.... the C22 was intact but rough... but it had a brand new motor (from 2006) that the dude must have won in some auction. I doubt that honda had 20 hours on it at the time-- but it had a cracked lower shell. Completely cosmetic and I separated my buy price on the boat and the motor - to incentivize him. Definitely getting my $'s worth on the old Honda.

My wonky system is semi-permanently attached, but works well for testing at home and for rinsing out salt-water when back to the slip.

But yours looks more impressive in the driveway
