Have a 1994 Hunter 23.5 which I purchased 1 year ago and am slowly refurbishing all. All hardware removed and re bedded, new sail covers, running and etc. Cabin sole could use some underside support. No bad fiberglass are gel. Floor is just thin and flexes some when one walk near the companion way. How do I fill the 1" are so space, void, between underside of sole and top of bilge/balast tank to eliminate the flex in floor. Has anyone fixed this issue on your boat between the sole lining and hull (bilge). I have thought that a 3/8" thick flooring would give support and extra strength. The area is only about 48" x 72". Would be easy to make a template in stall flooring. I still would like to wedge several places with dense foam to add support first. The material would need to be at least 1" or so thick. Anyone have any thoughts on this.
