Peggie - I greatly respect your opinion, so before I move forward, I'm looking for your advice. Was in the middle of replacing holding tank and hoses (Ronco and AGS), and while attaching to the head, I managed to crack the base of my Jabso head. A piece broke off at the front right corner where the pump attaches, while tightening the pump back down. The head has been working fine, and the previous owner had replaced the pump with the electric upgrade. (You pointed this out to me in an earlier thread.) Now my question is this, do you see a problem in only replacing the base? The price is much more attractive than replacing the entire head, and as it has been working, I couldn't see a reason to replace the whole thing. But, if you tell me that I'm just wasting my money and will likely have other problems, I'd go ahead and replace the whole thing. Thanks, as always for your input. T J

If you only cracked the base, and not the pump

cylinder too, replace the base...it shouldn't cost much. But if the pump cylinder wall is cracked, it's toast...in which case, if it were a manual pump I'd tell you to replace the whole toilet. But Jabsco's price for that conversion is more than a really good complete toilet that won't crack if you just tighten a bolt a little too much costs...so since it's working ok, if you can replace only the pump housing (cylinder) for a reasonable price, give it a try.
