Is installed on my 320 and although it still runs, does not empty the bilge, does not remove water. It is five years old and the cost to replace is $250. The Service kit is $80. Is it worth rebuilding? Easy? Thanks, Paul

Probably worth the rebuild, none empty

bilge completely as water in hose between pump and bilge drains back to the bilge when pump shuts off. This is pretty short lifespan for the pump, might want to check for any blockages in inlet side if it's not moving any water.

You may not need to rebuild

the pump. The pump on my 270 was running but not emptying the bilge. I bought a rebuild kit expecting the worse. Turns out a tiny sliver of debris got in the line and prevented the rubber flap from closing, hence no suction. I removed the sliver and the pump was off to the races. I figure some tiny bits of debris got in the line when I cleaned out the bilge strainer. End result - I now have a spare!
