I suspect those are model numbers, not mfr's name

They don't ring any bells with me...I've put out an SOS to someone who'll prob'ly know. It's most likely a mfr that's been out of business for 20 years. Or, it may be that an early PO figured out how to turn a manual into an electric by adding a motor that replaces the pump handle (the same thing as a Raritan PHE II...which I don't recommend!). Can you email me a photo of it--a good view of the PUMP assembly, not the bowl (everybody takes great pictures of bowls, but all bowls look alike)? I may be able to ID it from that. However...it's unlikely that any parts are still available for any toilet that old. But even if you could find any, IMO, it's time to bite the bullet and spring for a new one. For one thing, electric toilets made today use about 1/3 the flush water and less than half the power the ones of that vintage do. For another, even if you can find a motor that'll work, the rest of the pump assembly has to be so worn by now that you'll prob'ly just be throwing good money after bad...several times--and then have to buy a new one anyway. Everything has a lifespan, and 27 years is a LONG run for any marine toilet. I suggest you check out the Raritan SeaEra...available in both sea water and pressurized flush water versions. About $350 (which isn't much more than a new motor--IF you can find one--for yours will cost you). Let's figure out what you have...then go from there.

Now I know what you have...

Here's the reply from the person I was sure would know: "IWSS (International Water Saving Systems) was the original company that invented and patented the (later) Danforth Type I toilet/treatment system (recirculating system--the ol' Alka-Seltzer model, where you pushed the chlorine tablet through the slot at the back of the toilet, to start it up). That was their (IWSS's) model designation for that head (1000R). They went broke trying to develop and market that toilet system during the '60's. Their assets were bought out by Danforth in the '70's - who also nearly went broke with the bloody thing. If you recall, they had the intake and discharge pumps with the tiny internal passages - a cherry pit would clog them. Plus, they had all sorts of problems with the epoxy lining inside the aluminum toilet bowl separating from the aluminum base metal. I suppose he could try contacting Danforth, but after all this time, I doubt they'd have anyone on their staff who even REMEMBERS something that old - let alone being able to lay their hands on one. "And as far as it being a 1978, I doubt it - IWSS was already gone a long time by then. HE may have gotten it in 1978, but it was already well obsolete by then!" So just as I suspected, it's time for a new toilet.
