After all the rust dust and paint fumes have drifted away the trailer is ready to be pressed into service. I have decided to not top coat paint over the primer. When ever the rust decides to erupt though the finish, I find it easier to just sand the spot area and re-prime. I have been using "Rustoleum" professional primer
