You need to a correction. "Torona" think they are the only ones that count and that they are the centre of the universe.
I think "aboot" is Newfee language.
Nope. It's Tronna. Grew up in the burbs of Tronna in the 70's, and yup aboot is east coast.

Now that you mentioned it, it was Alexander Keith's beer.
That's still ok beer, and much better than the "beer" you guys have that is only slightly more flavourful than what we sail on..... but, nowhere close to the craft beers coming out of Ontario right now. Lots of great stuff.

How Canada got it's name -
Just before independence, a committee was formed to name the new country. They were unable to agree on a name. Finally, it was decided to pull letters from a hat and name the country from whatever the letters might spell. They gathered round and began to draw the letters - "C, eh? N, eh? D, eh?"

You'd be surprised at the great craft beer coming out everywhere. Minnesota seems to have more than most.

Thank you independent businesses who care about their products and not just generic pap.

One older craft brewery that I love is Unibroue in Quebec. "La Fin du monde" (tripel)... "Trois Pistoles" (Dark Ale) "Maudite" or the high test "La Terrible" @ 10.5% alc/vol. Oh so tasty. "Beer Advocate" voters rate all those as Exceptional. Bottled like champagne so a single bottle is not for the faint of heart.

While I remember little of it, years ago I read a story about why the USA and Canada ended up with different beer styles that became dominant. I vaguely remember that the prohibition had something to do with it. Any one know the correct details ?

Weird video ! But more or less true, depending on location in Canada.
(And... say "eh" too much and we know you are faking it. Or trying to mimic Bob and Doug Mackenzie)

1 correction though... pot bill was passed so it's legal in November and will be treated like alcohol. They are fighting over how to regulate it. hehe

I’m not sure what Canadian breweries put in their Moose brew.
I prefer a good draft of Guinness. It is a beer that you can respect and it respects you in exchange.

LOL !!! The funny thing is.... Guiness is shipped over in quantity, and bottled at the Moosehead plant in Nova Scotia. Meant to be semi secret, a friend had a VIP customer tour there and they told her.
So maybe Guiness has some moose in it ;)

If you like Guiness, you will love some of the Unibroue stuff.
