I hope our Canadian friends do not take offense to this. But I just laughed till tears fell from my eyes.
LOL.
The goofy thing is... I have never heard a Canadian say "aboot", but I'm from western Canada (Technically dead centre, but Torontonians think they are in the centre of Canada)
I'm suspecting maybe they pronounce it that way in Nova Scotia ?
Any ideas ?

I was told it is the Eastern Maritime Canadians that pronounce it that way.

I do recall many years ago I went to Canada to conduct training on a satellite simulator. Some of the attendees were from Nova Scotia. They pronounced it that way. The first time I heard it I was like a deer looking into headlights. The other Canadians then explained. It was also funny when I started talking about the IP router in the simulator. I was again corrected as it is a rooter, not a router.

Then we went to lunch.

You need to a correction. "Torona" think they are the only ones that count and that they are the centre of the universe.
I think "aboot" is Newfee language.

That is hilarious! I sent this to a friend of mine from Minneapolis with the caption, "Could be from Minnesota eh!"

She replied "Oh Ya Sure! You Betcha".

Maybe @Jackdaw can confirm for us.:kick:
