I have come across a PSC 25, Mark 2, on the hard. It's been sitting a while. Yard owner states it is missing a mast, and probably sails, rigging, etc.
So, is it worth making an offer on a boat that I would have to search the sailing mainstays for ( no pun) or do you know where these fundamentals can be found and/or scrounge?

Appreciate any help, guidance, assistance.
Oh, I think the engine is gone as well.

Thanks all..

Sounds like a real project boat…

Do you want to rebuilt it, or go sailing?

Even if the boat was free, mast, rigging and an engine is going to be pretty costly…and take a lot of time to install.

Only you can answer if it is worthwhile…

It would not be for me…and I like working on boats!

I'm thinking the same thing...I'm in the midst of finishing a little catboat, to go sailing...

You're right. Thanks for helping me see the light on this..

Actually, I found one. The good: nice price; the bad: I'm in the Hudson Valley, NY but the boat's in San Diego...

Keep looking. No reason to go to the west coast to find a boat. There are boats galore on the east coast. Keep looking.

Sounds to me like you've found a donor boat for some one else's project. You might ask the yard owner how much he'll PAY YOU to get this derelict off his hands, then start looking for a donor boat yourself. Fixing up an old boat is one thing, it can be quite rewarding. This is not that kind of project because 80% of the boat is missing.

Excellent point. He told me to make an offer. He said several people had put money down on it, but never came back. I guess they thought twice..

I'm not touching it

Too bad. It was a nice boat.....once
