ISO APPLICATION
ISO - International Standards Organization, this is an organization in Geneva that writes standards for a multitude of industries. ( approx. 17000 thus far) These are quality, environmental, aerospace, automotive, medical std.s etc. I believe that Catalina is registered to the ISO 9001:2000 quality std. Basically, these standard are like a set of rules that all companies that are registered follow. They help to ensure a higher level of quality in how the company is run & how they manage their manufacturing processes. The ISO standard is not related to a specific boat, but rather to the manufacturing of the product. Catalina is one of the few boat mfgr's that are registered to ISO.
