Does anyone know where to get the holly/teak laminate used on the cabin sole? Mine is separated from the substrate and breaking off just below the companionway. I've checked the usual places but haven't had any luck. Thanks

Check the web

Some places will sell you a half sheet. It isn't cheap. $170 for a 1/2 sheet is a reasonable price. You can also just get the veneer If the piece you need is small, check salvage or see if anyone else needs in the marina needs some and split the cost.

Hard wood specialty dealer

The cost is about $180.00 or so for a 4' x 8' sheet of teak and holly veneer. Most cities in the U.S. have a hard wood specialty dealer for contractors who are building homes. If your local specialty dealer does not have it in stock, they can order it. If you still cannot find it, e-mail me at: sailorart@mlode.com and I will give you the telephone number of a CA guy who may be able to ship to you. Fairwinds, Art

Have You Tried Hunter?

When I have needed things like this I start by calling Hunter and they have invariable been able to supply my needs. Have purchased teak twice from them to match my cabin interior and both times was able to purchase small pieces to fit my projects. You will find them very helpful.
