Tell me the good, the bad, and the ugly if you have used this product. It't pricey, but claims to be the answer to the maiden's prayer. Let me hear from you if you have used it in the past. tks

Island Girl

If this specific product is new then I have not used it .A few years ago I bought a kit that contained an array of Island Girl Products and still have most of them left . I have also not had what to me is a good experience with poli glow products . For every person who is not happy with these things there are some who are . I like meguiars 3 step process . It has given me the best service over the last 15 years . The men who sell island girl and poli glow are both very nice guys. I just did not have good results with their products . If I had it to do over I would pay for a very small amount as a test and then decide , good luck Mike

Poly Glow vs Island Girl Exixer

I have read the positive/negative postings about Poly Glow, but I believe this Island Girl went on the market Fall of 2006 and is a spray-on/wipe-off single applicatioin, with an option to apply a coating of another product to get more permanant shine/uv protection/etc. Maybe Island Girl hasn't been widely used by Hunter owners; if so I will post to other forums...someone MUST have tried this stuff since 2006!!

Island Girl has been around for several years.

Artro: The Island Girl (IG) products have been on the market for several years. As someone else stated there are many who like the products and other that do not. Most of the dislikes are because some of their application guidance may not be as clear as possible. One thing I would like to point out is the fact that Poly Glow and similar products are basically acrylic treatments and are similar to self shining floor wax. These products appear to make your boat shine as advertised. Some users have complained about the products yellowing and cracking/peeling. Most users have also related to the difficulty in removing the finish (if required) IG products are a cleanser & gel coat treatment. Once your gel coat has been cleaned and treated with IG you can use their wax/finish products or you can use other waxes like Collinite, Mequires or any other wax to finsh our your boat. The IG products will help protect a new boat too. I assume that there are very few owners that would ever consider using Poly Glow on their new Hunter, but should consider protecting the finish on a newer boat. So in my estimation these are very different products and need to be assessed based on what you are looking for. I have not used the Elixer yet, but it appears to help make reconditioning the surfaces easier than some of their other products.
