I have ordered some of this company's products for my non skid. The video and directions that came with the materials confused me and scared me out of using them. I am asking if others have used the cleansing lotion and/or non skid sealent (instead of compound/wax on non skid). The order also included Mirror Glaze and Elixir which I don't understand the use of in conjunction with the other products. Has anyone actually applied these products with very good results that are long lasting. I DO NOT want to apply something that will damage my non skid and harm the re sale value of my boat!

IG instruction sheets have always been confusing. They have gotten better over the years but still not very user friendly. The owner/developer of IG used to have an expert forum here but I do not see it any more. I tried to refresh my non skid using IG and was not impressed. It looked just as chalky as before I started. I only applied to one little spot and it made the NS look a little darker but within weeks faded to the same color as the untreated areas. Jim is a nice guy and will speak with you about your concerns. Try giving him a call.

The instructions are indeed confusing. I've made that point to Dr. Willis for years, to no avail.

Yes indeed the Non-Skid works, and works well. Clean the skid as best you can and use Xylene if need be to get any residue off. Use a stiff brush to spread the stuff and stay off it for an hour. Come back and rinse. Voila. Lasts six months easy, and the routine gets easier as you become familiar. I use all the Island Girl stuff, to great results.
