*o I can’t seem to get a straight answer. I have a three-blade prop with a plastic bushing on the shaft to make up the difference between the shaft size and the bore size of the prop. Two surveyors say “not good, put on the correct size prop." Hunter dealer says, “we do it all the time.” Factory says it’s no problem. Any other opinions? This is just my thoughts but I agree with the surveyor that you should put on the correct prop and get rid of the bushing. Most prop shop will tell you the same thing. More part more possibilites for failure! As far as the dealer doing it "ALL" the time, ask him if he has a bushing on his personal boat.Bet not! As far a getting a agreed opion forget it there will be people of both side of this issue. The truth is this bushing could last forever but if it were to be a problem it will be at the worst possible time (if your luck is like mine)and you will wish you had the correct size prop bore. Good Luck !
