I have owned a 1986 192 for just over a season. I have been worrying about the line that attaches to the swing keel to pull it up. After 18 years it has to be showing some wear. I do not think I have any worries about the swing pin or bearing or shims or what ever the correct names are. Is it worth the money and effort to go to a marina to put it in a sling and try to check it out? Can I tip it off the trailer lay the boat on its side and work on it that way. Is there some easy way that I have not thought of? Or should I not worry about it till it gives way?
