I have a Hunter 260 with a swing keel and i have recently taken it out of the water. As a normal maintenance i was checking on bottom condition, through hole fittings, ect. and i started to see if i was able to push the swing keel from side to side while the boat was on the trailer and while the keel was resting on the trailer skid for the keel. I was able to move it a bit and was nervous about how that could be. How much give or slop is acceptable and how do i properly determine if a repair is necessary?
Is my swing keel pivot too loose?
