Is my boat an O’Day?

O’Day Unknown Maranacook Lake
i own a small sailboat with a mainsail & jib. It is 14’6” long & 5’ wide. It has the large logo “Cool Change” printed on each side
Serial # is NPT0303S0275
I am trying to figure out how to get new sails for it. Any ideas what my actual boat model is & where to find new/used sails for it?

Sail lofts can make you sails to the measurements of your boat. I bought a new headsail from Precision, took awhile over the winter. There are others out there too that can help too.

Have a look at the picture and familiarize yourself a bit with I P E and J. Then, with your tape measure that's right there on the dock, get the dimensions. Armed with that data, call a bunch of sailmakers and get prices. Some of the lofts deal specifically with small boats like one design racers, and might be in a better position to help you than a large boat loft. Shop around!

Talk to a sail maker. If you can find a local non-affiliated loft try there first. Check a couple of one design websites to see who is making sails for the class. Someone like Fisher sails might be a good choice. The big international brands will charge you much more, they have to pay for marketing.
