I took off the old blue micron paint, put on 4 coats of Interprotect 2000, and have put on VC17M. All the while I was careful to avoid the depth transducer. But now I am wondering if it was necessary to be cautious. I can easily believe that getting Interlux Interprotect 2000 on the transducer is a bad thing, but I wonder what you all think about getting VC17 on the transducer. On the one hand you don't want stuff to attach to it, so coating it is good. On the other hand the coating may affect its performance. Or the copper in the VC may cause corrosion on the transducer. If it matters, I sail on the upper Mississippi behinde L&D #7. The biggest problem is zebra mussels and vc works well. What do you do? Thanks, Bill Leathen
