Is anyone else out there chomping at the bit for some sailing weather. Cold and snow in the Northeast, ugh!! I was at the boat yard last week and the boat two spots over from me rolled of its stand on to my neighbor. mine was spared, but the one next to mine, a Bristol 35 and the one in front, a small Macquestor got some damage. I have an opportunity to move up into my friends Tartan 34, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. So I guess I will continue with the projects I have lined up: I get the rest of my cushions back from the shop next week, then I need to do something about the deteriorating insulation in the fore peak, and a little spot in the main cabin. I think I'm going to have to remove the forward stuff and start all over. The main cabin is just a small part, hopefully I can just re-attach it. I'm going to reinstall the rudder, after I take off the Edson pedestal that a previous owner installed - it just cuts up the cockpit too much. I also need to get a new bracket for my outboard and position it a little lower than the existing one, which is about to fall apart - not to mention that it's off center - I don't know why. I have started a blog about my boating life, I'll be putting some sailing stuff up there soon. For now it's about my life on tugs. capnscruffy.blogspot.com
