Hi, I am looking at a 19" with toilet, all sails and a dinghy, is $5,000 a decent price. It is maybe 70's boat fiberglass. And also I need to find out where to download pics of design of boat, and info on it. Hull# 8032. Class# 52. Thanks for your help. Warren

Warren, its probably a bit high

Warren - I assume we're talking about an O'day Mariner? I guess if its a 79 it could be the O'day 19, don't know much about that boat. The 192 didn't come around until laters, so thats probably not it. If it is a Mariner, at that price it should be immaculate, the sails only a couple of years old, the rigging new, and it should have a trailer. If this sounds like the boat you've found, the price may be reasonable, but if not there are lots of other Mariners to be had. At a minimum, I'd look around for another similar boat and check it out just for a basis of comparison. Let us know what you find out. Justin - O'day Onwers' Web

Seems a little high

I bought an O'Day 222 (1985) which was in relatively good shape, older sails, good motor and trailer for $3900 last year. That was probably pretty close to market. While comparing an O'Day 19 with a 222 is a little like comparing apples to oranges, I can't believe the market prices would be that much different. I agree with Justin; that seems a little high even if it has recently upgraded sails, rigging, etc. Perhaps there is some flexibility on the price. Good luck.

I agree, a little high

I just purchased a 1984 Oday 26, and paid $5500 for it. Look at BUCNET.NET to check out the value. EJ

It sounds a bit high to me too

Hi, my O'day 19 is hull 64, and it was built in 1979....It's a great boat, but I'm paying $2700 for it....

$5000 is resonable...for O'Day 192

You have to pay what you feel is resonable, not someone else's value system. I just bought a 1985 O'Day 192 for $5000, and I think it was more than worth it.... Everything cleaned up and polished up very good. I have been making minor corrections and adjustments in my spare time. the 4 hp engine was newer, but still had to be tuned up and run-out in a barrel before I took it to the lake. It was the best $5ooo I ever spent....
