Irwin 42 Ketch Cocoa Beach
I am looking for a set of steering cables for a 1975 Irwin 42 ketch. The 7/19 wire is 3/16" x 18 feet. (20 ft to allow cutting to correct length)
The cable housing is 14.5 ft 9/16" dia o.d. & 1/4 " i.d. Due to the age of the vessel, the fittings used to secure the cable housing to the mounting brackets is an issue. I may need to replace those as well to accommodate the new fittings. If any one knows of a source, please reply. Thanks, Cal

ps I have already been in touch with Edson. The fittings are the issue with them also. I have photos available on request.

Any industrial cable, wire or fastener business will have the cable you need in stock. They can also probably steer you to a business that can help with the housing tubing and related parts. They might look a little different but will work. Any electrician can bend the tubing as needed.
Good luck, it looks like an interesting winter project.
