Can anyone tell me what the galvanic protection scheme used on the Mid 1980's Citation 38 is supposed to look like? We've got a 1986 Irwin Citation 38 which we purchased at the start of May 06. There is a lot of new electrical gear onboard, and we have detected a stray current corrosion problem. In the process of tracing that we are also looking at the bonding system and the galvanic protection system. At the present time, our AC safety ground is not tied to the boats bonding system, and the bonding system itself appears be only partially connected. I've not hauled the boat yet, but notice that there are what appear to be bonding points on either side of the keel fore and aft of the mast. Are these connected to a zinc under the hull?None of my through hulls appear to be connected to a bonding system, and they also do not appear to have any internal zincs. The engine is not grounded to the keel, etc. If Gene or anyone can help me understand the boats designed system, or point me to some links that explain it, that would help a lot. Thanks,Don W.
