I hope Estrellita and that Vega in Norfolk that I didn't buy have fared well in the storm. The same goes for anyone else in the way of the blow.

Anybody know what the tide surge was/is?
I moved my vega to an open spot on a floating
dock. But some slept on their boats.

Estrillita escaped with not so much as a scratch even though Irene's eye passed within 25 NM to the east. I hope other Vega owners in her path were as fortunate.

Storm surge was reported as high as 12 feet at her mooring. A couple of photos from the day after have been posted on the Estrellita blog at s/v Estrellita
