IPad mini and GPS

...my reported position is half a boat length, or about 13 feet. That, when the boat is docked, puts me in the correct slip on a NOAA chart. Now I am impressed. :)
Could this be just pure luck?

Have you tried this elsewhere where you sail?

It's a combination of the chart and the GPS, of course.

It very well could be, but I was still amazed. I will try docking someplace else and see where it lands me on the chart. But don't hold you breath for that report. LOL It being only Monday. LOL

I only have an ipad running Navionics. The feature I really find useful is the ability to take a picture and it pastes to the electronic chart. Like having a picture of harbor entrances or difficult marks to find.

And here is on my iPad with Navionics and iNavix (at 9:20 pm). This was with wifi and cellular data off so it was only using the internal GPS. Again, right in my slip.
