Hello Hunter Owners:

I just put my Balboa 26 up for sale because I purchased a 1995 Hunter 26 this past Saturday. I don't have any questions yet, just wanted to make introductions.

Is he Uncle Crazy or is he Crazy Uncle?

Dave is going to help me drop the mast and put it on the trailer. This is actually a boat that Dave sold to the current owner so Dave knows the boat well. I got to go on a short sail last Saturday. The boat is in great condition... I do think I will need new sails soon so I'll be asking advice about that eventually. Right now I need to thin my fleet before the neighbors label me the crazy boat boy.

Our crazy uncle Uncle Crazy sold my boat to the original owner. You and I must be twins!

The one I got is a 1995 Hunter26. It looks like you have the 260. Those are a little different I'm guessing. I'm very excited about the purchase and am already making plans for a long-ish cruise this summer. Maybe two weeks... I hope to start in Norfolk and go through the dismal swamp and down to Oriental NC. Spending a couple of days at each port looking over all of the tourist stuff etc. I think I'll hire a college kid I know to drive my truck and trailer down when I'm done so it will be a one-way trip.

Yes, mine is a 260. I don't know the details of the differences but I'm pretty sure they're similar. Will you take anyone with you on your trip?

Anyone who wants to tag along..... I was telling my wife that I could pick up and drop off "crew" along the way if people could not commit to the entire trip. We are a family of 6 but we also have that "cat in the cradle" thing going on so I doubt I will have my entire crew all at once again.
