Tom, don't get mad

Have you priced properity on the water lately. Up Up Up! As long as people pay it, it will go up!

*x I'm sorry!

;D Sorry I missed the "distructive 'rant'", that is. Apparently Phil dumped it before I could see it. I didn't mean to get political in my porky pig comment. (One party is as bad as another when it comes to wasting my money!) The point I was trying to make is that the IWW (A & G) get funding from a variety of government sources: -NOAA Restoration Center -Army Corps of Engr -Center for Sponsored Coastal Ocean -Research/Coastal Ocean Program -National Ocean Service -Department of Commerce -Coastal Impact Assistant Program -Wetlands Recovery Project -EPA And hundreds of other federal, state and local funded organizations. Some work cooperatively but most others are at cross purposes. Each has it's own agenda, along with a cadre of lawyers and lobbyists (they're the ones in the limos). A boat to me represents freedom in its most pure form; the ultimate persuit of happiness. Although we've given up some of that freedom to the tyrants for "the greater good", at least the feeling of freedom is still there. Remember: Life is a race... not a dance. Happy sails *_/), MArk

MArk, You Did Not Miss Much

Someone was blaming a current office holder for everything from global warming and the state of religion to the barnacles on his bottom. Another said he'd vote for him again. The third thought it was ridiculous.

Hey MArk

Always enjoyed your posts and have been missing them, where ya been? Got the Oday(?) in Fla now?

Hey John

Thanks for the concern. I try to be entertaining if not informative. We moved from Ocean Springs Mississippi to Lakeland Florida. I wanted to be at ground zero for the 2004 presidential election, doing my part to make sure it goes the RIGHT way! The O'Day stayed behind, sold to another Mississippian. Once I get caught up on my work and find permanent housing here I'll start looking for Dream Boat #3. With all the shallow lakes (over 50 in Polk county alone) and being close to Tampa, I'll probably go with a centerboard, shallow draft, water ballasted power sailer. (like a MacGregor 26?) That is, unless I can convince the wife to build a 40' long, 20' wide proa that transforms to a 25' X 8' tri-hull power boat. (my own design) I'll continue to lurk until then. Happy sails *_/), MArk

Its in the (duffle) bag

When you see that nice Mr Nader again, ask him for some consumer advice on your next purchase (and wind up with a powerboat.) I've been spending time on the Cal-list researching work on the Cal 2-29 we took on. Finally got all the spiders to leave and the engine out. I'm having trouble figuring out from this thread if the ditch will still be there in the future, but one day I hope to make the trip to those lattitudes.
