Just finished!
Hi,I have just rebuilt mine on my new 1980 C30. I took the boom home and took the end caps off. Due to heavy salt corrosion, I elected to sand and repaint. But anyways, I rebuilt my outhaul using two triple harken blocks. I replaced the wire lead attached to the outhaul car with a new one and slightly shorter in length. One end is connected to a triple block inside. The new sheets are run between the two blocks. The other block attached to the front boom cap were the original block was attached. I elected to run my sheet to the back end of the boom. It comes out of the bottom of the boom over the cockpit using a pass thru harken block. The cleat is then a standard pinch type cleat. I wanted to be able to easily adjust the outhaul from the cockpit without running more sheets along my cabin top. The original sheets were at the front of the boom next to the mast and required getting out of the cockpit to adjust. I hope to test out the design this weekend. Cost is minimal. No kit, just put together the pieces at your local West Marina store. It was a little time consuming to cut out the rectangular hole on the boom for the pass thru block using only a cut off wheel on the Dremel. Good Luck.Paul
