Internal mast wiring

I have recently purchased a 1985 Catalina 27. It will be transported to Louisville by road so the mast has been un-stepped. My question is does the wiring in the mast (lights and radio antenna) have a certain lifetime? If so, this probably would be a good time to replace it. Any comments would be appreciated. John

I just rewired the mast in a '81 Catalina. Don't know if they still did it in 85, but the problem I saw was they did not use marine grade wire (used untinned wire.) Would have liked to replace the wiring where it continued into the cabin, but I never could figure out how to get to it. Think it's in the ceiling under the liner.
