interior vinyl trim

The interior vinyl trim on my Beneteau 1988 28.5 is falling off. I understand this is a common problem with older Beneteau's. Any suggestions on how to best remove the old foam backing from the hull and what materials would work best to re install the trim panels.

I stripped the headliner on our First 285…
What you need is:

• A cool day
• A wire brush
• Eye protection and long sleeve shirt (nasty/dirty/icthy stuff!)
• And a shop vac

As for replacements, there are a lot of opinions on what to use. What's YOUR preferred look, and what do you functionally need (like insulation)? Do a search on this and any other forum that you belong to on the topic (like you said, it's a pretty common occurance). Then, be creative and good luck on a project that will have a big impact on the already great looks of your boat!
