Interior speakers

"Hear" we go again - another speaker discussion, but couldn't find the answer in the archives.Has anyone cut through the v-berth bulkhead to flush mount speakers? If so, any issues encountered, and how did they sound? Did you do any type of enclosure over the magnet side? Inquiring minds want to know.

My 28.5 came with small box speaker's mounted on the bulk head, if this helps.

Box speakers

On my 28.5 the salon speakers were below the setees on either side of the salon facing inward toward each other. If I were going to mount on bulkhead, I'd certainly use an enclosed "box" type speaker like the Bose 131's. Sure hate to see you deface those bulkheads by cutting holes in them!

I used Box

I installed box speakers on the bulkhead and set them back far and high enough that you don't hit your head while sitting. They look and sound fine. Kenny
