I like the way the cushions and backrest add up to just fit, design or luck?

Here is the main salon in the sleeping arrangement.
That's great. I'm thinking of doing something similar but I had been thinking about just using rails to span the gap between settees, not sliding seats. Similar to this: http://www.goodoldboat.com/reader_services/articles/bigbed.php

What kind of hardware do you use for the slides? Is there a way to lock it so the seats don't move around while sailing?

Again, really impressive work!

Thanks!

It is just like in the link for the most part. The face piece you see has plywood attached to it. You just insert the slats and slide the two sides together and they drop into place. They don't have any kind of locking hardware while underway. They have never moved while sailing.

Re: EdWard, also RAD

I agree with you, EdWard-- maybe you and I should start a band (we have so much in common). LOL

Rad, you too have a terrific-looking interior. I always wanted to be able to have the little Oriental carpet in the cabin. Alas, I have a semi-fixed table and the leg would interrupt anything larger than a doormat.
