The admiral and I have been busy working on the interior of the new boat. Changes include new vbirth mattress and cushions thru out, temporary cabin sole and seatback modifications. I will add pictures of the seatback modifications later. The modification adds a slant to the seatback and pushes it out at bottom which adds comfort and helps keeps your head from hitting the cabin top. The plus is it adds to the storage behind the seatbacks.
The beginnings of the multimedia system have been installed. I went with a Pyle digital amp with a Zantech Bluetooth adaptor and a pair of Niles outdoor speakers to start. Now from our phones or computers we can play and control whatever we want. We mostly use Pandora radio. The speakers are installed up in the foot wells of sight.

Did those bulkhead shelves come with tbe boat or were they added? I'd like to do the same on my C-27.

Nice work! I am astounded that your 27' boat seems to have nearly as much room inside as my 37c. It's great when it all comes together at last!

The C27 has a similar table that hinges in the middle and fold up to the bulk head. I would have to take my own measurements and design a unit to fit. I like the way your is configured.

Texrob, that boat looks gorgeous. You have every reason to be happy with it.

I agree with J. Cherubini - Beautiful job. My 77' Hunter 30' has a similar table with hidden shelves. Great use of fabric and rugs !

Not to hijack the thread but has anyone come across any 30' mid 70's Cherubinis with teak on top of the coamings? Mine was covered in teak but it had split and cracked before I was the owner. I am planning on replacing it soon.

Gorgeous. I have a 78 H27 and would be interested in the seat mods as well as the shelving behind the table. Appreciate that info. Thanks.

Your boat is looking gorgeous! Good inspiration for me as I am working to restore an '81 H27.

We found our "baby" on the hard in the back of a boat yard in Chicago. We know she had been abandoned for a long time as more that $20,000.00 in back storage was owed on her (she was part of an auction for long abandoned boats). Needless to say--we paid far less than that for her. But, she came complete with mold, mud, water, and grime from being in an industrial district for quite some time. It has taken me quite a while to get her to the state she is in between other obligations and, of course, winter weather. We hope to launch her this year, though.

I am looking forward to more posts from you--both for inspiration and ideas! I know these "Cherubinis" are gorgeous old boats and I am thrilled to find others who see the potential and value in them.

Again--great job--and keep the pictures coming. I may even post a few when the weather breaks and I can get to the boat.

Thanks Lindgrentwo!

We did start with a decent boat as far as derelicts go. Here is a mod you may like. It make the settees far more comfortable!

Good with your boat!

So then--the bottom of the seat extends?
It does extend out to make a bed or to make a larger seat. After the mod the settee is far more comfortable and helps banging your head on the cabin top.

How do you support the extension from the settee?
There are slats that run across to the other sette. I can pull it out about 8" without the slats in place.

Got it. Now I see the u shaped brackets at either end of the settee to hold the slats.

Great work!
