I have a Bene OC400, didn't replace any lights, but did add some. The galley lighting is pitiful. I moved the single floro unit to over the stove, then added a double floro over the sink area. Made meel prep after dark somehwat easier. In the cockpit, I used a couple of license plate illlumination lights under the wind instrument display box to give some more light on the deck or floor of the cockpit at night. I can look into the lockers and the lines and stuff and still preserve my night vision. Added a cigarette lighter plug in the cockpit, then made up a simple unit to give some light on the cockpit table during meals/snacks/drinks in the cockpit after dark that plugs into it. Added a large deck light to the under side of the big radar arch to light the dink boarding area. Good for boarding after a dinner ashore or a glass of wine aboard a friends boat, good for securing the dink for the night, for all kinds of things. I really like it. Also, moved my aft nav light up to the center of the arch so it's not blocked by the dink hanging in the davits. Put a light under the sink in the pot/pan storage area, very helpful. Put a small desk lamp in my stateroom, powered by the inverter, for a little reading before sleep. All in all, pretty happy with the lighting situation now.
