Hi all. I am new to this list. I have a 1989 Catalina 30 and the time has come to replace the cushions. Anybody have any suggestions on the most economical way to do so? Thanks!

Local shop

We took our old cushions to a local upholstery shop. They were able to find heavy fabric similar to what we had and fabricate new cushions ... and do that for what we thought was a very reasonable cost. We only needed covers for the four cushions making up the starboard settee in our '88 Catalina 30. The other cushions and the foam were still good, so ours was not as complex as a full re-do involving new foam and all that. Catalina will also sell you completely new ones, but we found our local shop to be much less expensive. Regards, Gary Kunkel

Thanks

Thank you for the reply. Catalina quoted me $2600 for all new cushions -- if I shipped the originals back to them.
