Over on the Pacific Seadcraft Flicka Yahoo group a member has posted his inovative shorts/PDF/harness setup.
Here's a video link:

William Hogan says, in part:
"I usually wore waterproof breathable shorts to keep my rear end dry. Nothing is worse than sitting on a wet foredeck changing sails in cotton jeans or shorts. They stay wet for the rest of the day.
All the time I wore the chest harness, I wondered if it would slip off over my head when I most needed it, or if it would restrict my ability to reboard if it did stay on. A couple of experiments revealed that the exact posture you'd need to reboard after falling overboard (arms above head) would also allow the harness to slide off.
So I decided to integrate a climbing harness, waterproof breathable shorts, and a belt style PFD into a single garment.
It works brilliantly. Everything stays in the shorts, which roll up into a nice compact bundle when not in use.
Hope you enjoy the video - it was fun (and a lot of work) to make. The water is cold this time of year!"
